About us
How did Allegiance of Deceit start?
I’d been trying to make a game for years without much luck. I’m a solo developer and not great at graphics or drawing, so I’ve mostly stuck to what I’m good at: websites and software.
One day I had an AI prompt open and asked something like: “What game could I build as a web app that isn’t very graphical?” It suggested a list of ideas. One stood out—a TV game show my other half loves. I asked it to explain the show, then whether that format could be turned into a web app game. And here we are.
I’ve been into gaming since the 80s but never did much game development myself. I’ve tried a couple of text-based games and once got a platform game to a few levels, but that was about it.
With Allegiance of Deceit I finally have a real game that works for family play—we can sit together and chat around it—or for friends and colleagues to do a bit of team bonding and have fun.
I’ll keep improving it and adding features, including special challenges around holidays like Christmas and Halloween.
I hope you enjoy playing Allegiance of Deceit.
