Allegiance of Deceit — Terms of Service Last updated: March 19th 2026 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Allegiance of Deceit website and game (the "Service"). By creating an account, joining a game, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. 1. The Service Allegiance of Deceit is an online social deduction game. Players are assigned hidden roles (Traitors or Faithfuls), take part in challenges, vote, and may be eliminated. The Service is provided for entertainment only and "as is"; we do not guarantee availability or that it will be error-free. 2. Age and eligibility You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should only use the Service with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who should have read these Terms. By using the Service, you confirm you meet the age requirement and have that consent where required. 3. Your account You may need an account (username, email, password) to play. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms or are used in an abusive or unsafe way. 4. Acceptable use You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must not harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other players; share hateful, discriminatory, or inappropriate content; impersonate others; or try to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts. We may remove you from games or restrict access if you break these rules. 5. Reporting and blocking You may report a game or a user (e.g. from the Public games list or from inside a game) and may block other users. Reports are reviewed by staff; we do not take automatic action based on report count. Blocking a user hides their games from you and prevents them from joining games you host (and you from joining theirs). Use these tools responsibly; misuse (e.g. false or abusive reports) may result in action against your account. 6. Game data and virtual items Scores, coins, and the prize pot are virtual only. They have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value. We may change, reset, or delete game data (including after games end) for maintenance, fairness, or privacy. Old games may be purged or anonymised. Coin bundles may be purchased through our Square-powered checkout. After payment is completed and confirmed by Square, we automatically add the purchased coins to your account. If you have questions about a charge or need help with a payment, contact us and we will assist where possible. We do not store your credit or debit card details; payment information is handled securely by Square. 7. Your content You are responsible for what you post (e.g. chat, display names, bios, Truth or Lie statements). Do not post anything that is illegal, infringing, harassing, or harmful. We may remove content or accounts that breach this. 8. Privacy We use your data (e.g. email, display name, game history) to run the Service, maintain games, and improve the game. Changes to the Service and these Terms We may change or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms. 10. Intellectual property The Service and its content are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial play only. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service or create derivative works without our permission. 11. Limitation of liability To the fullest extent allowed by law, we provide the Service "as is" and are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you have paid us to use the Service in the last 12 months (if any). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. 12. Termination You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Terms that by their nature should survive (e.g. liability, intellectual property) will continue to apply after termination. 13. Governing law These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may also bring proceedings there. 14.
